Cutting chart
Cut strips across the width of fabric, then subcut. All measurements include 1/4" seam allowances.

Cut 23 strips 3 7/8" x WOF.
- Subcut 224 3 7/8" squares for flying geese points
Center2 yd
Cut 10 strips 6 1/2" x WOF.
- Subcut 56 6 1/2" squares
Background4 3/8 yd
Cut 19 strips 3 1/2" x WOF.
- Subcut 224 3 1/2" squares
Cut 12 strips 7 1/4" x WOF.
- Subcut 56 7 1/4" squares for flying geese (no-waste method, each makes 4)
Border1 3/4 yd
Cut 10 strips 5 1/2" x WOF; join them end to end, then cut the four borders to length.
Binding7/8 yd
Cut 10 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; join them on the diagonal and press in half lengthwise.
Backing, binding, batting
Backing
8 1/2 yd of 42" fabric: 3 panels 102" long, seamed crosswise, for a 102" x 114" back (4" extra on every side for the longarm or your frame). Or 3 1/4 yd of 108" wide backing, no seams.
Binding
10 strips 2 1/2" x WOF, joined on the diagonal and folded in half: 400" around the quilt plus 12" for the corners and the join.
Batting
A piece at least 102" x 114".
