Cutting chart
Cut strips across the width of fabric, then subcut. All measurements include 1/4" seam allowances.

Cut 8 strips 3 7/8" x WOF.
- Subcut 80 3 7/8" squares for flying geese points
Center7/8 yd
Cut 4 strips 6 1/2" x WOF.
- Subcut 20 6 1/2" squares
Background1 5/8 yd
Cut 7 strips 3 1/2" x WOF.
- Subcut 80 3 1/2" squares
Cut 4 strips 7 1/4" x WOF.
- Subcut 20 7 1/4" squares for flying geese (no-waste method, each makes 4)
Border3/4 yd
Cut 6 strips 3 1/2" x WOF; join them end to end, then cut the four borders to length.
Binding5/8 yd
Cut 6 strips 2 1/2" x WOF; join them on the diagonal and press in half lengthwise.
Backing, binding, batting
Backing
3 1/2 yd of 42" fabric: 2 panels 62" long, seamed crosswise, for a 62" x 74" back (4" extra on every side for the longarm or your frame). Or 2 1/8 yd of 108" wide backing, no seams.
Binding
6 strips 2 1/2" x WOF, joined on the diagonal and folded in half: 240" around the quilt plus 12" for the corners and the join.
Batting
A piece at least 62" x 74".
